Henna Bakshi is a food and wine journalist, currently the Editor of Eater Atlanta. Additionally, she is an on-camera talent with a decade of TV writing and producing experience at CNN. Her work appears in Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Eater, VinePair, Full Pour, Thrillist, Chowhound, Atlanta Magazine, CNN, HLN, and more. Henna holds a Level 3 wine certification through WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust).
Henna was born and raised in New Delhi, where her love for cooking and flavor began. There was no escaping the country’s vibrant culinary landscape, which plays an important role in Henna’s writing and palate. She is fluent in multiple languages including Hindi, Punjabi, English, and some French.
Henna has hosted her cooking show, "Around the World in $40" on national network, HLN. Additionally, she hosted a cooking competition series called, "Seasoned Foodie" for Brookdale Living, and judged multiple food festivals. She has produced branded content for major companies including Perdue, L'Oreal, RAM, Tums, and more.
In her spare time, Henna hosts food and wine pop-ups. Her first, “Hands,” focused on Mediterranean cuisine and ancient world wines. Inspired by chef Yotam Ottolenghi, Henna cooked the multi-course menu for 20 people, and paired it with the ancient forgotten regions of incredible wine. Her latest pop-up, “Bubbles and Chaat,” was hosted at Michelin-guide restaurant, Chai Pani in Atlanta, where she paired a lineup of sparkling wines with Indian street food.
